In August last year, KBO held a contest to select the venue for the All-Star Game with the aim of improving the quality of fan service for the All-Star Game and revitalizing the local economy through regional festivals. Through this, Daejeon Metropolitan City, which proposed the opening of a new baseball stadium and administrative support, was finally selected as the venue, and KBO and Daejeon Metropolitan City signed a business agreement on December 9 last year.
This meeting is the first official schedule since the business agreement, and practitioners of the sports promotion department in Daejeon Metropolitan City and KBO officials exchanged various opinions on regional promotion and ways to revitalize outdoor events.
On the same day, the team also conducted field trips to the new stadium in Daejeon. Kim Si-jin, chairman of the Korea Baseball Organization, and Jeon Il-soo, head of the referee team, continued detailed discussions with Daejeon Metropolitan City officials to enhance the completeness of the All-Star game and the regular season, looking at the overall infrastructure and facilities of the stadium.
KBO and Daejeon Metropolitan City vowed to make the 2025 KBO All-Star Game an event where many baseball fans as well as Daejeon citizens can experience various experiences based on continuous communication in the future.
